This will be a quick an short posting, when we have warn and nice weather like this the interest in knitting is somewhat cooler. The summer top to little Sister was completed yesterday. To start with she wasn’t at all pleased with the yarn but when I promised some pink bead she had no objections at all. The pattern was very difficult to understand, I couldn’t figure out how to knit the yoke ant the body together so I finally decided to use a needle an a piece of yarn. When talking about pieces of yarn, approx 3 m remained in the “skein” when all was done so the last rows were a little exciting. The result isn’t maybe as neat as the knitted one should have been but Little Sister is very pleased. After blocking it stretched so I guess she may be able to use it next year too.
Malli/pattern: Kelly Klem, Dolphin Bay Eyelet Baby Top
Lanka/yarn: Rowan RYC Bamboo Soft (200 g)
Feelis: Ihana, pehmoinen, vilpoinen, tosi kiva kesäneule. Lovely, soft, cool, a wonderful summerknit.
This is the way it looked like after one day…
I have knitted the may square to the 12 month afghan KAL. I feel a little guilty when I think about the afghan that still is in 31 pieces. How can it be that it is so incredible boooring to finish the works…
Malli/pattern: Wool and Woolen Collectibles 12 Month Afgan May square (ravelry)
Lanka/yarn: DROPS Alaska (93 gr)
Feelis: Syyskuun tilkun pikkuserkku. The second cousin to the September square.
There are still 6 skeins of pale violet RYC soft bamboo in my stash, enough for a nice summer dress to Little Sister. Again the pattern is completely un-understandable but I have already figured out how to make a dress. As in earlier RYC bamboo projects there is exactly so much (or little) yarn to make the knitting very exciting to the last row…
